Here it is! At long last! My end of the art trade I have going on with my incredibly good friend !
I knew I had to incorporate Ariel (his favorite) in somehow but the burlesque theme came to me in my sleep (like all great ideas do! ). Maybe it was a bit of an excuse to come up with purple shell pasties.
Seriously though, I'm very happy with how she turned out especially when it came to her hair. I wanted to make it a little bit classic Disney with equal parts 1950's burlesque/pin-up girl. I'm not gonna lie, coloring the inside of that shell with a tempermental Copic marker was a bit of an annoyance but I'm just happy it all managed to come together.
Hmm, between this and my "Tail Spinn'd" Miss Kitty Mouse from "The Great Mouse Detective", I might just have to start some Disney!Burlesque mini-series.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
